Terms of Service

Platform usage
LicenseTrack provides automated monitoring of YouTube and SoundCloud content on your behalf. When a potential match is detected, we file a DMCA notice on your behalf and generate a licensing agreement you can offer to the infringer. You retain full control over every action — we act only when you instruct us to.
Composer IP ownership
You retain 100% ownership of all tracks and content you upload to LicenseTrack. The platform acquires no rights, no licenses, and no interest in your intellectual property. We act solely as a monitoring and enforcement tool; we do not claim any ownership over the music we help you protect.
Platform commission
LicenseTrack takes a 15% commission on the value of any licensing deal you close through the platform — for example, if you mark a match as licensed and receive £100, £85 is yours and £15 goes to LicenseTrack. There is no commission on DMCA filings or monitoring alerts.
DMCA notices
DMCA filing is user-initiated and requires accepting a legal disclaimer confirming your good-faith belief. LicenseTrack is a tooling platform, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. Responsibility for each notice lies entirely with you.
Free tier
The free plan includes 1 detection per month, YouTube and SoundCloud monitoring, and email alerts. It does not include DMCA filing or the license generator.
Pro tier
Pro subscription (£14.99/month) includes unlimited detections, DMCA filing in one click, and the license generator. You can cancel at any time and your account reverts to the free tier immediately.
Acceptable use
You may not use LicenseTrack to file false or abusive copyright claims, to monitor content you do not own, or to upload illegal material. Using the platform to infringe on the rights of others may result in immediate account termination.
Limitation of liability
LicenseTrack is provided as-is, without any warranty. We do not guarantee that monitoring will catch every infringement, that DMCA notices will result in removal, or that licensing deals will close. Our liability is capped at the subscription fees you paid in the twelve months prior to any claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. LicenseTrack is a UK- registered platform operating a Stripe Connect GB account. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
